Lahmacun is Turkey's beloved thin, crispy flatbread — often called "Turkish pizza," though it's in a class of its own. Each round is hand-rolled and topped with a fragrant blend of meat hand-chopped the traditional way with a zirh (a curved Turkish blade), along with fresh tomatoes, peppers, garlic, and warm spices — and never any onion. It's baked until the edges turn golden and crackling. Light yet full of flavor, it's traditionally squeezed with a little lemon, layered with fresh parsley, and rolled up to eat by hand. At Kekik Cuisine, we prepare every Lahmacun fresh in our San Diego home kitchen, bringing an authentic taste of Turkey straight to your table.
